W I N E R Y The Fernandez Gomez family has a history in
viticulture that stretches back for more than a century,
but it was the vision of the latest generation that first
brought their production to the commercial market
through the emergence of Bodegas Tierra. With
nearly 80 acres of prime vineyard holdings in Rioja
Alavesa, some containing original hundred-year-old
plantings, it’s not surprising Tierra quickly earned an
impressive reputation as an estate grower and
producer. Efforts taken by Tierra focus on
maintaining grape integrity from vineyard to bottle
so true character is maintained and expressed.

V A R I E T Y 100% Tempranillo
V I N E Y A R D From the Cuba Negra Vineyard in southern
Labastida, the El Belisario bottling comes from
Tempranillo vines planted in 1910.
A L C O H O L 14.5%
P R O C E S S Fermented naturally in oak foudre. Malolactic
fermentation and aging occur in 100% new French
oak barriques over two years.
T A S T I N G Along with its brilliant garnet color, aromas of
cherries, dried plums, black pepper, and savory
mushroom leap from the glass. The palate is fresh
and concentrated with mixed red and black fruit,
chocolate, menthol, and coffee. Displays a
surprisingly elegant nature. Pair with game, red
meat and dark chocolate.
