Winemakers Notes
Our Pinot Noir vineyards are located at the most favorable parts of land in the Santa Lucia Highlands. This region is known as one of the best areas in the world for growing this variety. The vineyards receive plenty of sunshine and are cooled by a sea breeze in the afternoon. The grapes are harvested by hand. The special fermentation softens the natural acidity, making the Bernardus Pinot Noir an elegant, bright, ruby-red wine, with aromas of ripe black cherries, berries, and vanilla.
