"Marandy" is the historic name of the area where these vineyards are planted. The climate is hot and dry in the summer and mild during the other seasons. Syrah is perfectly adapted to this terroir. The wine expresses a rustic character and honest fruit, with notes of raspberry and spices.

The 2023 Brotte Marandy is an impressive Saint-Joseph, opening with aromatic hints of fresh garden herbs and floral accents. On the palate, it delivers admirable weight without feeling heavy, showcasing lively black fruit flavors framed by the appellation’s hallmark elegance and minerality. This expressive Northern Rhône Syrah finds a superb match in Côte de Bœuf à la Plancha—a thick, bone-in rib steak seared over high heat on a plancha or cast-iron surface to achieve a deep, savory crust while preserving its juicy interior.
