Description
CHTEAU BONNET is the family home where the story of the Andr Lurton family started. It is one of the leading brand of the Entre-Deux-Mers and one of the most beautiful regions of the Bordeaux countryside. This area features limestone plateaus which are ideal for growing balanced and concentrated grapes. All wines feature Eco-designed packaging, lightweight bottles & eco-paper. The estate promotes biodiversity with the creation of an eco-garden, installation of beehives, new crops (vegetables, etc.) and are committed sustainable farming. They have received a HEV 3 global environmental certification, which is the highest level possible.

Tasting notes
Deep ruby-red color scattered with purple highlights. The nose is very attractive and fruity, revealing a delicious array of fresh fruit notes (cherry, plum, blackberry), underpinned by subtle hints of spice. Very round, delicious and balanced. Ideally paired with grilled red meats and cheese platters.

History
ANDR LURTON is the companys founder, for almost 70 years he dedicated his life to his vines, as only a man born in a wine chateau could do. Jacques Lurton now runs the family estates; he was nominated president of the group by his family in June 2019. His vast winemaking experience around the world over 30 years, has given him inspired and creative vision which he now transmits to the Vignobles Andre Lurton.
About Chateau Bonnet
The vineyards of Chateau Bonnet were planted during the 16th century, by the Reynier family, wealthy merchants from Libourne. In a mere 30 years, the landscape around the house was transformed, as vines replaced forest on the surrounding slopes.
Château Bonnet lies to the North of the Entre-Deux-Mers, on the clay-chalk slopes of the commune of Grézillac, overlooking the Dordogne valley some 10km south of Saint Emilion. The estate dates back to the 17th century; when André Lurton took over in 1956, it comprised 30 hectares of vineyard, which he immediately undertook to renovate and develop.

Today, half Bonnet's production is devoted to a highly popular dry white (AOC Entre-Deux-Mers), a blend of Sauvignon, Sémillon and Muscadelle grapes, carefully vinified to preserve the freshness and bouquet of these varietals.

The other half is composed of classic red varietals - Merlots, Cabernet Francs and Cabernet Sauvignons - producing noteworthy clarets widely held to be superior to the general run of the appellation.
