2022 was the hottest and driest year since 1950. This year was marked by a significant water deficit and three successive hailstorms in June, July and August. This is a vintage that can be described as early; the grapes having reached maturity 2 weeks early. The 2022 vintage reveals 2 wine profiles: the early vines give concentrated, rich and warm wines, while the later vines give suppler, elegant and balanced wines.
NOTE DE DEGUSTATION
Medium ruby red color with blue highlights. Expressive nose. Sooty notes open, then ripe cherry and tapenade, delicately spiced.
The palate is full from the start, with richness and refreshing tension. The mineral and fruity notes of the nose resonate. Dense, fine-grained tannins. Good length with licorice and black olive. Espelette pepper at the very end.
