Bright red berry/raspberry-scented fruit with plenty of crushed black pepper notes. Medium body with bright acidity. Good versatile, everyday Crozes.

An approachable and mouthfilling style, showing cherry and raspberry flavors on a medium-bodied frame. Offers an earthy character, with tar, smoked paprika and mineral elements that linger. Savory on the mouthwatering finish, which shows a taut feel. Drink now through 2030. 20,833 cases made, 168 cases imported.

The 2022 Crozes-Hermitage's bouquet wafts from the glass with exuberant aromas of litchi, rose, flowers and dark berries. Medium to full-bodied, juicy and seamless, it's harmonious with a fleshy core of fruit, a delicate texture and a harmonious palate, culminating in a gourmand, fresh and long finish enhanced by a lovely reduction typical of Syrah. It was matured for 12 months in a mix of used barrels, ranging from five to 10 years old, contributing to its refined and complex profile.

I loved the 2022 Crozes-Hermitage Laurent Combier, another charming, textured, remarkably satisfying Crozes-Hermitage that has tons to love. Ripe red and black fruits, spice, savory, peppery herbs, and some meaty notes all emerge on the nose, and it's medium-bodied, balanced, has velvety tannins, and outstanding length. The entry level release for the estate, it's perfect for drinking over the coming 4-6 years or so.

The 2022 Crozes-Hermitage Cuvee Laurent Combier is the final vintage where this cuvee has this name. From 2023 onwards it will be called Cuvee L. Cedar. Black cherry and spicy elements of moderate intensity rise up from the glass. Balanced by bright acidity, the medium-bodied 2022 is round and savory, doubling down with acceptable length.
