The Jesuit garden, located in the heart of the Mittelhaardt at the foot of the Haardtgebirge, has a size of only 6 ha.
According to the Bavarian soil classification of 1828, the Jesuit garden is the second highest-rated vineyard location in the Palatinate after the church piece. At an altitude of 120 to 150 m above sea level, the eastern slope in the Jesuit Garden causes an exceptionally high warming of the volcanic basalt rock. The dense clay and sand layers ensure optimal water balance and the absorption of minerals. The wines from the Jesuit garden are characterized by their extraordinary play of fruit and minerality.
