The grapes for the rosé were picked from September 26 to October 1st; one week later than in 2023, two weeks later than in 2022.
The cold year was well-suited to the freshness and vivacity that Raffault looks for in his rosés. He didn’t need, as he did in 2022, to harvest the grapes for this cuvée much earlier than the grapes for the red.
The 2024 offers a bit more acidity than the 2023. It is bright and delicate, a real summer wine. Citrus notes with a touch of raspberry, and a hint of spiciness typical of Cabernet Franc. The color is a light salmon pink (the color of the 2023 was more intense, because it was easier to extract from riper grapes).
The 2024 is quite dry (1g/l RS) with an ABV of 12.90%, relatively high acidity (4,4g/l) and a low pH of 3.3 (higher acidy that 2023, with a pH of 3.5). All together, an ideal balance for a fresh and pleasant rose .
