La Valentina Description

Dark ruby color with hints of inky purple. The bouquet highlights aromas and flavors of dark plum, blackberry nectar, and aromatic herbs, enriched with notes of coffee and cocoa. Its majestic character explodes on the palate, dense yet fresh, characterized by noble and powerful tannins and a hint of violet. The finish is long and clean, with a hint of minerality that enhances its characteristics of liveliness, power, and clarity. Pair with complex red meat-based preparations such as stews, braised and braised meats, game birds and feathered game, long-aged cheeses.

This intense and layered with ripe dark fruit, sweet spices, chocolate and graphite as well as some earthy and tarry undertones. Full-bodied and deep with layers of super-fine tannins, that are melted into the wine. Structured and persistent. Seamless and even. From organically grown grapes. Try after a year or two.

A rich plum and cherry sauce is offset by autumnal spice and a dusting of cocoa as the 2020 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva Bellovedere comes to life. It's silky-smooth with a pretty inner sweetness balanced by zesty acidity and tart wild berry fruits as a mineral tinge adds traction toward the close. This tapers off long and staining with grippy tannins, leaving licorice and clove hints. While quite intense and verging on opulent, balance is expertly maintained.

A lovely, expressive red, with rich flavors of blackberry coulis, black licorice, cocoa powder and Earl Grey tea leaf, this is elegant and well-balanced. Features fine-grained tannins and bright acidity, which provide a sense of restraint to the generous profile. The long finish reveals hints of ground coffee, iron, smoke and spices. Best from 2025 through 2033. 500 cases made.
