This wine pairs intensity with finesse, full-bodied richness with elegance. With aromas and flavors of white fruit, almonds and minerals, it will develop favorably in the bottle for 12 to 18 years.

Pairs well with poached fish, shellfish in cream sauce, pâté de foie gras and ripe cheeses such as Munster and mature Comté.

Richness and balance coexist in this remarkably pure, fluid and elegant wine. Beautiful aromas of lemon blossoms, toasted almonds, poached pears and vanilla bean lead to equally luscious fruit and spice flavors on a medium body that’s backed by vivid acidity. Drink or hold.

Mid lemon yellow, with a concentrated bouquet that has less immediate charm than the Clos de la Garenne. However, there is significant weight on the palate, some yellow plums, while the acidity has an attractive mineral touch. My conclusion is that this Folatières is just very backward. Everything is there to make a great wine, and In the end the more exciting wine of two excellent Pulignys. Barrel Sample: 94-96

The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru has a refined nose with wet limestone and Granny Smith apples. This is nicely detailed with beautifully integrated oak. The palate is very well-balanced, with fine acidity and gentle grip. It’s quite detailed towards the impressively precise finish. Excellent.
