A little sweet and high in alcohol for my taste, this wine, which winemaker Greg La Follette calls “a fruit riot,” indeed is explosive. Cherries, blueberries and black raspberries run rampant, with overtones of milk chocolate and coffee. On the plus side are rich, dusty tannins and good acidity, which lend structure.
