Tenuta Sette Cieli, perched high in the hills above Bolgheri, brings an elevated, terroir-driven approach to Bordeaux-style blends in Tuscany. The estate's “NOI4” is their introductory cuvée, but don’t let that fool you—this is a serious wine made with the same care as their flagship bottlings, offering Bolgheri structure with more lift and freshness.
The 2022 vintage is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc, grown organically on clay and limestone soils with maritime breezes moderating the warmth. It’s aged in French oak (mostly used) to preserve purity while adding just the right amount of polish.
The result is plush and structured, with notes of blackberry, plum, tobacco leaf, and dried herbs, backed by fine tannins and a long, mineral finish. There’s richness, but no excess—a wine that feels Mediterranean but walks with Bordeaux elegance.
Perfect with grilled steak, wild boar ragù, or aged pecorino, and a smart choice for lovers of Bolgheri, Margaux, or Napa’s more restrained reds. Drink now with a short decant, or age 5–7 years for more savory complexity.
