This wine has aromas of red fruits like cherries, strawberries and intense aroma of spices (licorice and white pepper) and herbs. It is medium in body, balanced with fresh acidity and has silky gentle tannins.

Tyrnavos is flat, flat, flat and, in summer, punishingly hot, which makes the balance and delicacy that Chrístos Zafeirákis regularly achieves in his wines all the more striking. With a tantalizing tug-of-war between floral and earthy, this limnióna speaks clearly of its soil, the sediments of an ancient lake. Light in body but heavy on complexity, this offers in turn the sharpness of raspberries, a bloody tang wreathed in smoke, and a note of the forest floor where old leaf litter dissolves into the earth below.
